Lincs Out and About is here to help you find out more about the wonderful county of Lincolnshire and things you can do in the county. I want to help you discover hidden gems whether you live in Lincolnshire or are visiting the county on holiday.

Lincolnshire is a large county with lots of different places to explore. From the coast in the east with the traditional seaside towns of Skegness and Mablethorpe and the quieter beaches like Huttoft and Anderby Creek.  There are also nature reserves at Gibraltar Point, Theddlethorpe, Donna Nook and Frampton Marsh, which are perfect for walking and bird watching.

Across to the west there is the beautiful Georgian town of Stamford and Grantham the birth place of Margaret Thatcher and close by one of my favourite National Trust properties Belton House.

In the south of the county there are the flat fens surrounding the market towns of Boston and Spalding.  Many people think that Lincolnshire is flat but there are the scenic and undulating Wolds with the market towns of Horncastle, Market Rasen and Louth and the many small picturesque villages.

The cathedral city of Lincoln with it’s bustling night life and shopping areas. The historic castle and cathedral look over the modern city with it’s University and industry.

I have lived in Lincolnshire most of my life and find it a fascinating places to live and work.
